Trims, Bruce. Banyak ordo itu yang belum pernah saya kenal. Selama ini, dan juga nanti, saya tidak akan begitu memperhatikan ordo atau tarekat para biarawan-biarawati itu. Yang pasti, selama ini saya sering menyebut diri saya termasuk OFM (Orang Farisi Modern) hehhehheee...

Memang banyak ordo itu yang hanya beraktifitas di derah tertentu, Eropa misalnya. Jadi jarang yang kita kenal.

Ordo satu dengan ordo lain itu hanya beda kebiasaan antarordo kan? Eh gimana sih pastinya? Yang pernah saya dengar, memang hanya beda kebiasaan atau titik berat pelayanan. Seperti kongregasinya Bunda Theresa itu, mengutamakan pelayanan kesehatan kaum papa, sementara S.X itu menitikberatkan pelayanan ke daerah yang relatif belum tersentuh Injil (misalnya pedalaman Aceh), dll,dll. Demikiankan?

Betul bro, pada intinya sih perbedaan ordo itu hanya pada titik berat pelayanan saja, contoh yang anda berikan itu tepat sekali, mungkin bisa saya tambahkan juga bahwa ordo SJ banyak berkiprah pada dunia pendidikan, sementara OFM (Fransiscan) banyak berkiprah pada pelayanan dan panti asuhan.

Para Jesuit yang banyak dikenal, paling tidak oleh orang Katolik adalah :

Kardinal Indonesia, saat ini juga berasal dari ordo Jesuit.

Eh, dulu SMA saya yang berambut panjang itu dikelola Bruderan, dan karena saya kurang care pada ordo, sampai sekarang saya tidak tahu dari ordo mana pengasuh sekolah itu.

Melihat Bruce lebih suka menulis Jesus daripada Yesus, kuduga Bruce adalah anggota Serikat Jesus (Jesuitkah?). Eh, ngomong-ngomong, di forum sebelah ada yang bernama Jesuit. Kurang dapat saya pastikan apakah dia dari ordo SJ, atau malah bukan dari salah satu ordo yang ada di Katolik.

Coba aja di search di google bro, dari situsnya akan terbaca yayasannya, dari yayasannya akan terbaca siapa pengurusnya dan ketuanya, maka akan terbaca siapa nama dan ordonya. Itu kalau yang dikelola Bruderan, kalau yang dikelola swasta ya ngga ada ordonya.

Antara Jesus dan Yesus, sebenarnya sama saja, cuma karena kebetulan banyak artikel yang saya baca menuliskan Jesus, dan ada teman bule juga yang menyebutnya Jesus, jadi saya lebih sering menulis Jesus saja. Kesannya lebih egaliter dan lebih akrab.

Jujur saja, saya beluum mengetahuinya secara persis, tetapi kemungkinannya adalah seorang calon imam (frater) menjelang kelulusannya mengajukan preferensinya untuk masuk ke dalam ordo apa, Itu merupakan perkiraan saya sebagai orang awam, saya akan coba cari infonya secara lebih detail lagi.

Sepanjang pengetahuan saya, umat tidak membeda-bedakan ordo itu. Seperti penjelasan Bruce diatas, ordo itu hanya penekanan pelayanan kelompok biarawan-biarawati. Misalkan seorang umat yang ingin melaksanakan syukuran karena menempati rumah baru, kemudian dia memohon agar dilaksanakan pemberkatan oleh seorang pastor yang ketepatan berordo yang mengutamakan pendidikan, si pastor tadi tetap mengabulkan permintaan si umat. Bagaimana menjelaskannya ya? Artinya, kira-kira, ordo itu hanya kekhususan pelayanan, atau perhatian lebih, atau apa ya. Ah, pertanyaanmu sulit Djo. Semoga dari penjelasan yang ada, sudah cukup faham.

Kesimpulan dari yang artikel dan buku2 yang saya baca.

Gereja Awal mula.... yang dapat melakukan Ekaristi adalah Imam. Dimana mereka adalah kaum awam yang mendapatkan Sakramen Imamat yang mengijinkan mereka melakukan Ekaristi.

Selain dari Imam tersebut, terdapat komunitas kaum awam yang menjalankan disiplin selibat berikut disiplin2 religius dan kesalehan lainnya. Dan ini dinamakan Rahib/biarawan yang terdiri dari berbagai Ordo.

Dahulu para biarawan pada saat hendak melakukan Ekaristi maka mereka mengundang Imam ke pertapaan mereka. Dan untuk jangka waktu yang cukup lama, para biarawan ini ragu2 untuk menerima Imam yang ingin menjadi biarawan, karena faktor status Imam mereka yang dapat bermasalah dengan struktur kepemimpinan Biarawan.

Tetapi dilain pihak para Biarawan membutuhkan Imam didekat tempat mereka, sehingga tidak perlu harus mengundang.

Dengan berjalannya waktu, maka Santo Benediktus dari Nursia menemukan suatu langkah penyelesaian yang memuaskan yaitu biarawan yang telah membuktikan dirinya taat terhadap Biara, maka ia dapat ditahbiskan menjadi Imam.

Kesimpulan saya :
Awam yang ditahbiskan = Imam Projo.
Awam memilih disiplin religius = Biarawan.
Biarawan yang ditahbiskan = Imam Ordo.

Sementara imam dengan ordo tertentu memiliki misi yang tertentu juga, seperti contohnya adalah ordo OFM yang banyak bergerak dalam bidang sosial panti asuhan)

Bayangan saya nih Mod Bruce.... waktu di Seminari, setelah tahun tertentu .... mereka diijinkan memilih menjadi Imam Projo ataukah Tarekat Religius (Ordo) tertentu.
Setelah mereka lulus memenuhi kriteria yang dibutuhkan, kemudian baru dilantik menjadi Imam.

Oke ...
